Pattaya, Thailand – Martin and Diego Reyna, competitive shooters sponsored by Big Daddy Unlimited, recently competed in the IPSC World Shoot. The competition, featuring more than 1600 shooters from 50 countries, was held November 27th -December 2nd and consisted of six challenging days and 30 practical shooting courses, called “stages.”
Martin, a 9-year-old shooting prodigy, won the IPSC President’s Medal as the youngest competitor at the event and finished 1st Place in the Super Junior Division. Diego, Martin’s father, finished an impressive 18th Overall in the Production Optics Light division.
Martin and Diego have been representing Big Daddy Unlimited in IPSC, USPSA and Steel Challenge competitions over the past year and often compete alongside Big Daddy Unlimited -sponsored competitor and Firearms Industry Media Host, Denny Chapman. “It’s really amazing to see how far Martin has come in a short time,” Chapman said, “He’s truly a very talented young man and Diego has done a great job guiding him through his competition experience.”
Co-founder, Sherrie McKnight, added, “It’s important that we expose children to firearm safety from a young age. Diego took it a step further and helped his son become a force in the competitive shooting world. Some kids play football or baseball, and some are the best competitive shooters in the world. We are proud of all our sponsored shooters and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for Martin.”
