AR-15s are some of the easiest rifles to accessorize and customize, and this rifle exemplifies that.
This rifle comes with some great upgrades like Billet 7075-T6 upper and lower receivers. It has a Chrome-Moly barrel along with a carbine-length gas system.
For a little extra gun safety, it comes from the factory with a safety-orange chamber flag. Chamber flags are great safety tools because they give a visual representation that the chamber is empty.
Barrel and Customization
This rifle has a 16-inch barrel. It’s threaded with ½”-28 thread, and it has an A2-style flash hider. The barrel is made with 4150 Chrome-Moly Steel which makes it super tough and gives it a lot of corrosion resistance.

Surrounding the barrel is an M-LOK handguard that’s ready for accessories. It’s compatible with lights, lasers, bipods, and just about any other stabilizing or aiming device.
It has a Picatinny rail on the front and on the back. It works with iron sights, removable flip-up sights, red dot, or low-power variable optics (LPVOs).
LPVOs are specifically designed for rifles like AR-15s. They typically come in 1:4, 1:6, or 1:8 magnification. The handguard is super thin and ergonomic.
Handling
The smaller handguard makes it really easy to do a C-Clamp wrap-around grip.
This comes with a Mission First Tactical BATTLELINK Minimalist Stock.
It is adjustable in six different positions which allows it to extend far enough to give the shooter a more realistic length of pull. This adds a level of comfort and creates a better cheek weld which greatly increases the accuracy of the shooter.
Versatility
AR-15s are really easy to field strip and maintain. The bolt carrier group can be sent home by pressing the release button. Once the chamber is empty, you can push the takedown pin. The takedown pin takes a little effort to push out.
That’s a good thing!
The stiffer the takedown pin is, the tighter the fit between the upper and lower receivers. This gives the rifle more accuracy.
Longevity
With the front of the rifle hinged forward, the bolt carrier group can be pulled out. The bolt carrier group is very important. It’s an integral part of the rifle. It’s like the motor in a car, so the better the quality of the bolt carrier group, the longer life the rifle is going to have, and the better it’s going to run.
This has a fantastic mil-spec bolt carrier group. It is Black Nitride coated. The Black Nitride is baked into the pores of the metal which makes it extremely corrosion resistant and extremely tough. This extends the longevity of the rifle. Black Nitride coating gives any firearm–not just AR-15s–a longer life span.
Verdict
The Black Rain AR-15 is super easy to shoot and tons of fun. The features that come with this rifle give it increased accuracy, a longer lifespan, and limitless customizability. I’m a huge fan of this rifle.

Black rain buys their parts from other countries,then laser in grave their logo. I worked there. Not a good weapon.
Is this a true fact?
Either you never worked there or it’s an easy class action lawsuit against BRO, because they have it right on their site that ALL parts are manufactured in the USA.
I just bought one, and even with a Sig Romeo 5, sling, QD sling mounts, and flip up irons this thing is so light that it feels like a toy. The staking on the gas key is ok, but not great. The bolt is MPI marked which is great. I may replace the BCG with an Aero Precision BCG but time will tell. I am going to leave the OEM stock for now, and give it a try.
