I want to sincerely thank the Florida legislature for passing Permitless Concealed Carry. This measure is long overdue, but I am still proud of this large advancement for our rights!

We also have to thank Governor Ron DeSantis and his team for inviting us to such a momentous occasion. Attending the signing for this significant piece of legislation was an incredible experience for me!

Our team was extremely grateful and humbled that the Governor’s office recognized our contributions to the passing of the bill, and were proud to represent our organization, members, and customers.

For months, there have been people saying this will hurt safety in our state, or allow criminals to carry guns, but none of these things are accurate or true. This will drastically improve our ability to protect ourselves in this state and provide new avenues for individuals to seek better, proper training.

Unfortunately, I have seen too many cases of victims of domestic abuse, especially women, who have been killed due to a lack of means to protect themselves. I have even experienced this in my own family. This bill will save countless women by removing the financial burden, bureaucratic red tape, and unjustifiable wait times.

Our team has been working on this issue for years; meeting with elected officials, rallying in Tallahassee, and holding them accountable for the gun control measures. We are proud to have been a small part of ensuring this bill would pass, alongside GOA, NRA, Florida Carry, and others.

HOWEVER, our work is not done until we actually achieve the right to exercise our Second Amendment rights as the founders intended, so we will keep fighting. “SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED” is too simple for those with an anti-gun mindset to understand.

Today, my promise to you is that we will fight for the same open carry that 47 states enjoy. Some may choose to open carry and they should have the right to do so thereby showing those who intend to make them a victim will think twice.  We will fight to remove Florida’s disastrous Red Flag Laws, and, with any luck, this year, the age to own a long gun in our state will revert back to 18.

Big Daddy Unlimited and Big Daddy Guns will continue fighting for the Second Amendment, and playing a role in pro-gun legislation in Florida and beyond.

With that being said, if you would like to help us with these efforts, you can donate to American Gun Coalition today, so that we can achieve our goal of preserving and defending the Second Amendment!
