The Beretta APX comes with two magazines. One six-round magazine and one eight-round magazine. The six-round magazine has an extra finger mold at the bottom. For the ultimate concealment, you can take the base plate off and replace it with a flat base plate. If you want extra capacity, it comes with an eight-round magazine with an extended base plate.

First Look at the Beretta APX Trigger
The Beretta APX Carry comes with a six-and-a-half-pound self-defense trigger–that’s not a light trigger–but it’s not an extremely heavy trigger. It’s a self-defense trigger and, personally, I feel that six-and-a-half pounds is very appropriate for your self-defense handgun.
Handling
The Beretta APX Carry has other nice features including aggressive cocking serrations. These serrations give you additional control and confidence when you are gripping the slide. They’ve even engineered indexing points.
When you’re handling this pistol, while you’re keeping your finger off the trigger, you can feel that index point right there. You know that you’re off the trigger and you’re safe. You can even take your support hand and feel the indexing point with your thumb on the other side. It’s a great little piece of engineering that Beretta USA has included in this compact APX.
Accuracy
It has a bright white front sight. It also has a serrated rear sight, which means there are cross cuts in the rear sight so that light doesn’t reflect and bounce off into your eye which could obscure your vision. This gun prevents that in order to help you be the accurate shooter you want to be.
This is a great frame with its narrow grip which allows you to wrap your fingers around gives you more control. Having a narrow grip around the frame really allows for solid control. More control gives you more accuracy.
Verdict
It’s light and handy, it’s less than 20 ounces and has an overall length of about seven-and-a-half inches, which makes it very small and concealable and, of course, you get that famous quality that Beretta is known for.
