    GREAT DEALS ON SUPPRESSORS

    Benefits Of Owning A Suppressor

    Hearing Protection

One of the first things that must be taken into consideration when shooting your firearm is the long-term effects and permanent hearing damage that are possible.

Any noise above 140 decibels has the potential to cause permanent hearing damage. As a frame of reference, motorcycle engines are around 95 decibels (dB), rock concerts are around 130 dB, and airplane engines are around 140 dB.

When a gun is fired, the noise created can be anywhere from 140 dB – 175 dB. Many firearms can be even louder than 175 dB. Many suppressors can reduce noise to under 140 dB, reducing the risk of hearing damage tremendously.

DISCLAIMER: We still recommend wearing hearing protection to be extra safe.

    Noise Pollution

Gun owners aren’t selfish people. Just as personal hearing protection is taken into consideration, the hearing protection of others should also be considered. Suppressors can reduce the risk of hearing damage for anyone that is in the shooting area.

The environment around the shooter should also be considered. Neighbors, pets, and other wildlife can all be disturbed by the loud sound of gunfire. Shooting with a suppressor is a great way to be considerate of others and ensure your shooting is as least disruptive as possible.

    Recoil Mitigation

Suppressors also have the ability to reduce recoil. They act in the same way that a muzzle brake does by countering the gas pressure that forces the firearm into the air or into the shooter’s shoulder when fired.

This recoil reduction can increase your accuracy, speed up your target acquisition, and make you a better shooter.

    Things to Consider:

    Caliber

Suppressors come compatible with many different calibers, so it’s important to determine which one is right for your firearm.

Because of the time that it takes to get a suppressor, it’s important to take into consideration suppressors that may be compatible with the different calibers of firearms owned by the shooter.

    Suppressor Size – Maneuverability

Not only do suppressors come compatible with different calibers, but they also come in different sizes and lengths.

The shooter should take into consideration what they will be using their firearm for. If the suppressed firearm will be used strictly on the range for noise reduction, then size may not be an issue. If the firearm will be used for hunting or moving around, a smaller suppressor will provide more function and maneuverability.

Price – We Get What We Pay For

Suppressors don’t come cheap. Especially when considering the price of the required tax stamp, it’s important to be prepared for the big investment that comes with purchasing a suppressor.

Just like with any Second Amendment product, it’s important to consider the level of quality that the shooter is willing to pay for. Higher quality suppressors will generally be more expensive, but the higher price tag may be worth the added quality and benefits such as a good warranty and ease of maintenance.
